tws automatic logoff

Hi ... I noticed that the TWS must necessarily disconnect once a day,
in the settings it is possible to change the disconnection time but do not deactivate it.
This provokes having the platform on the vps the need to manually restart it every day before the opening of the markets ...
Is there a possibility to have TWS start automatically in the morning or not to disconnect it in the evening?

Hello Danilo,
we have a tutorial how to apply ibcontroller.

https://trade-commander.com/disable-tws ... ic-logoff/

IBController is a free java tool to keep TWS running.

As an alternative you could run the gateway.

Could you please keep our forum as place where to ask
such questions. So other user have a benefit from answers.

Thank you and kind regards,
Cornelius

What is IBGateway:

The IB Gateway is a lightweighted tool used as a conjunction between Interactive Brokers and API clients
like the bridge.

Unlike TWS, the gateway is not closing itself. Once started it runs until closed.

The gateway just provides minial functionality. You can't place orders or query account- or position data.
It is only intended to work with API clients.

The gateway can be downloaded here:
