What is TWSLink

TWSLink is a DLL / COM-based universal plug-in for virtually any application or programming language to trade an Interactive Brokers account. With a few commands you issue orders, query account- or portfolio information, request market data, etc., without dealing with InteractiveBrokers API details. By this, much time and stress can be saved and so you can concentrate on the important task: implementing your software or strategy.

For whom TWSLink

TWSLink is suitable for investors who wish to engage in an Interactive Brokers account via the API, or should, because they have an application (like TradeStation, eSignalEFS, etc.), which implements their trading strategy, but can not connect to Interactive Brokers. TWSLink is equally interesting for commercial and private software developers who develop custom applications for an Interactive Brokers account and whish to replace the tedious encapsulation of the Interactive Brokers API through an easily capable to integrate, proven turnkey solution to save time and thus money.

Why using TWSLink

Essentially TWSLink saves users time because it makes the use of the Interactive Brokers API much easier and makes API available on all possible platforms in the same way. For instance, 200 lines native API code for placing and managing an order are shrinking on 3 lines TWSLink code. Thus TWSLink code is much more transparent and above all with universal usage: A buy limit order done with TWSLink - whatever the environment - is always BUY_LMT (...). The time saved easily compensates license cost. TWSLink also offers additional features to pure API implementation, as e.g. Database support, global variables, XML DOM administration, and more.
